She was the shortest third grader on my team.
The skinniest too. Her blonde hair a blend of straw and ringlets. Her eyes were sprinkled with stardust and shot rays that sent hope sparkling all over the court whenever she picked up the miniature elementary basketball.
In practice she listened as if God were talking.
Her short little legs raced every other set of legs twice their length. And not once did she utter a complaint about not being big enough, strong enough or tall enough to make the team. She knew better. She had the spirit of a giant, perhaps even a sixth grader..She was stardust twinkle.
Of course she made my starting five on the third grade team of ballers I’d choose to spend a couple years loving on and learning from. Size or spirit? ”
Not by might but by my spirit…” Says GOD…
Somedays I forget it’s not about how big I am or any of my possessions, accounts or achievements but rather how powerful and miraculous the spirit I channel that is my GOD.
What are you facing today?
Perhaps you are out gunned, maybe even the shortest player on the floor? Perhaps you don’t have the zero’s in the bank account or are low on hopes and dreams and people who care for you? Then perhaps you too will be inspired by stardust twinkle…And reminded it’s not about how big you are-but rather how powerful the SPIRIT is within you….
All things are possible with GOD…
Size or Spirit?
